Always a major event for the Club, the Keyport Yacht Club we will be partnering with the RAINE Foundation to help those adversely affected by Super Storm Sandy. We have experienced the disruption and cost of rebuilding ourselves and to be able to help our neighbors gives us great satisfaction.

All monies raised by this event will go directly to those in need. RAINE does not take any administrative fee.

Jack Pinto Memorial Playground Dedication

On May 4th at 1pm, at Firemen’s Park in Union Beach, New Jersey, the RAINE Foundation along with the NJFMBA (NJ Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association) will dedicate the new playground that was built in Jack Pintos memory. The playground is the second of it’s kind built in partnership with the FMBA’s Sandy Ground 26, Where Angels Play Project. (see below for details about Sandy Ground Project) Each playground built by the FMBA will be dedicated to the memory of one of the twenty-six victims of the Sandy Hook shootings.

The Union Beach playground is being built in memory of Jack Pinto, the six year old little boy whocaptured the attention of NY Giants player Victor Cruz. Jack was an avid Giants fan, and was buried in his Victor Cruz jersey. His spirit and youth will be captured in the design of the Union Beach playground, with his team colors of Red, White and Blue. Jack’s older brother was named as the honorary foreman of the project.

The RAINE foundation has a sentimental and inspiring dedication ceremony planned. A monument that the RAINE foundation created will be unveiled. The monument includes the hand-prints of hundreds of Union Beach children, along with a hand-print of Jack Pinto.

Attending the dedication: State, County and Local officials, several NFL Players and The Pinto Family together with local residents.

The Sandy Ground Project

Inspired by the senseless violence in Newtown CT, and on the heels of the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, the RAINE Foundation has continued in our mission to help children in crisis.

RAINE Foundation is proud to announce our partnership with the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (FMBA) to create The Sandy Ground 26, Where Angels Play. The idea to build playgrounds came from them – as they were emotionally distraught after the recent tragedies of Hurricane Sandy and the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary.

In an effort to restore the storm-ravaged east coast, this project endeavors to create 26 living memorials to all children who have been victims of violence while creating a safe, fun place for them to play.

In this partnership, RAINE has purchased one of the 26 playgrounds to be built. We have identified Fireman’s Park, Union Beach as the site, which seems so perfect with a beautiful waterfront view.

We will be memorializing Jack Pinto, a six year old boy who was an avid Giant’s fan, and was even buried in Victor Cruz’s jersey. Jack loved playing on the swings,which is why we will honor his memory by including a great swing set.

Another partner in this effort is Gateway Church of Christ, who will be leading the garden initiative. We hope to clear the grounds so that they can plan a beautiful memorial.

Our official groundbreaking is scheduled for April 5th 9:00am.

The Pinto family will be present for our emotional ceremony and dedication of the playground to the Union Beach Borough.

Patch Covers our Restoration of the IFF Baseball Field

Volunteers from the RAINE Foundation teamed up to repair fences, dugouts and the clubhouse at the IFF Baseball Field and Hazlet-Holmdel Patch covered the effort in their online article.

Baseball practice has begun for most towns and now the Bayshore Little League can begin practice and even have some home games.

Announcing our inaugural Charity Golf Outing! The 2013 Raine Foundation Golf Outing will be held at Navesink Country Club (50 Luffburrow Lane, Middletown, New Jersey 07748) on May 20th, 2013. Even if you aren’t a golfer, tickets to just the dinner and cocktail party are also available for $100.

RAINE Foundation 2013 Annual Golf Outing Registration and Sponsorship Information (PDF)

Levels of Corporate Sponsorships
$100 Silver Level: Your business name and logo will be displayed on a sponsor sign at one of the 18 t-boxes at the Navesink Country Club on the day of the Outing.

$250 Gold Level: You will receive the Silver sponsor package and in addition have your business name or logo on an embroidered golf flag, which will be flying on one of the 18 greens. Your flag will be presented to you after the event, if you choose to attend.

$500 Platinum Level: You will receive the Silver and Gold sponsor packages and in addition your business name and logo will be displayed on a large digital sign at the Registration and Check-In booth. You will also receive one ticket ($100 value) to the Dinner/Cocktail Party to be held the night of the Outing.

$1000 Tournament Level: You will receive the Silver and Gold sponsor packages and in addition your business name/logo will also be displayed on an extra large banner at one of the following: Luncheon, Dinner/Cocktail Party, Hand Cigar Roller Stand, Halfway Beverage House, Beverage Cart, Driving Range or Putting Green. You will also receive two tickets to the Dinner/Cocktail Party to be held the night of the Outing, where your business will be recognized for their Tournament sponsorship and your flag will be presented to you for your generous support.

$2500 Diamond Level: You will receive the Silver and Gold sponsor packages and in addition your business name/logo will also be displayed on an extra large banner of your choice at one of the following: Luncheon, Dinner/Cocktail Party, Hand Cigar Roller Stand, Halfway Beverage House, Beverage Cart, Driving Range or Putting Green. You will also receive two golf shirts with your business name or logo embroidered on the sleeve.
